The veil is an iconic bridal accessory and it is important to pick a perfect one. There are many styles available and we made a list of a few things to consider before buying one:
Color
Your veil should match the color of your dress or be a tone lighter
Design
We usually recommend a simple veil for a dress that has a lot of going on (e.g. beading, multiple lace) - you don’t want to overshadow the dress. For a simple gown veil with beading or lace would be perfect - it will add some sparkle.
Length
Shorter veils, like bandeaus, birdcages and blushers, tend to lend a bit more personality as well as vintage or retro edge to your look
Longer veils are more traditional and very flattering on any bride
- Longer waltz or floor-length veils will elongate a petite frame while mid-length styles, like fingertip or elbow-length veils, can visually cut you in half, making them a better pick for taller brides.
